The Witching Hour

It's that time of year when ghosts and goblins start getting read to frighten the daylights out of us! Actually, daylight is at a premium at this time of year. The weather is starting to turn colder...or not. In Wisconsin it can be cold one day and hotter than a witches brew the next! But fall is definitely in the air with crisp winds and changing colors and it's right now that self-care is most important. It's easy to get run down at this time of year. We're still moving around like it's summer. Maybe even dressing like it's summer! It's time to start cooking up some healthy soups and stews and bringing out the warm sweaters. Take some time to "nest" once in a while. But also, get out there in that bright Autumn sun and walk in that fresh, crisp air! Nothing better to perk up a doldrum kind of day and keep those depression symptoms at bay. It can ease your anxiety too. Crack open a window at night and let some of the cool night air inside. You will sleep better than you have in a long, long time. And, if you're game, get out there and in costume on Halloween! There's nothing more fun than playing a little make believe!! BOO!!
